Full of practical and faith-based strategies for finding your life-work rhythm, Russell’s book is small in size but big on ideas. A must-read for everyone from the empty nest executive, to the mid-life middle manager, to the recent college graduate starting his or her career.

As a busy mom and business owner, I loved how practical and to-the-point the book was. I was able to finish it quickly and find useful tips that also tied in biblical examples. I have never read a book that included all of these main points together, and I found them all refreshing and important. As a result of reading In Search of Work-Life Balance,     I have already put several of the strategies into practice and will continue to be more in-tuned to my work-life balance as a result of the helpful content of this book.

In our culture, it is so easy to get caught up in a sort of “work martyr” mentality, where your identity comes out of how long and hard you work, and family easily gets put on the back burner. In Search of Work-Life Balance challenges us to step away from this new (non-Biblical) norm, and completely shift our goals to obtain a balanced, Godly life. Russell’s book has challenged me to be a better wife, mother, and employee, while giving practical, obtainable ideas as to subtle lifestyle changes that will make a huge impact.
